RMweb Gold tetsudofan Posted November 5, 2010 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 5, 2010 Received a package yesterday from Model Junction which contained the Milwaukee Road 1935 Hiawatha set comprising a streamlined Class A 4-4-2 steamie, Tap Cafe Car, Coach Car, Parlor Car and the Milwaukee's unique beaver tail Observation Car. The set, in HO, is produced (in China) for Fox Valley Models who, I must admit, I had never heard of a year ago. Have only got the loco out of the box but from what I see it looks good - length of loco and tender is just over 86feet (bit longer than a Schools? ). Have not got any track laid at the moment so can't comment on how it runs. The coaches look quite interesting so I'll take some pics as I get them out of the boxes.... trisonic
Art Deco, Baby! Some of the design features would have fit right in with the old ODEON cinema in Brentwood, demolished around 1970, alas. Best, Pete.
