Assuming the caption is correct this vehicle has been NE prefixed around 9 months after the NER officially ceased to exist. I suspect NE prefixing continued for some time after 1st Jan 1967. leopardml2341 Posted September 15, 2012 Author Share Posted September 15, 2012 Recently purchased from seller on a well known internet auction site - Ian Allan ABC DMU's 1967 has NE prefixed vehicles listed. I know that vehicles need not necessarily have carried NE prefix, but it is plausible that they could and it gives some idea of likely candidates.
