RMweb Gold LH&JC Posted November 11, 2010 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 11, 2010 The GNR liveried J52 & the plain LNER black J83s are out and is not quite new, using the old body tooling but at around £40 it will be something to sonsider if the chassis is any good, I know the old 0-6-0 chassis was poor, I had one and it was rubbish, but I remember reading somewhere that the Railroad range 0-6-0s had a new and better chassis that could handle points and slow running. Here is a photo taken outside Monk Bar Models (usual disclaimer, satisfied customer and my local model shop)
Ed-farms
I remember reading somewhere that the Railroad range 0-6-0s had a new and better chassis that could handle points and slow running. Certainly should be better as they have put a DCC socket on it (J52 and J83 are fitted already) so for £40 I think it is a good buy, model looks ok to me. Could be better detailed but should suit most.
James
Mainly Trains have an iain Rice designed chassis for it if the chassis really offends, or you're after something in EM or P4.
