RMweb Premium 7013 Posted November 25, 2010 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 25, 2010 I have many locos that are chipped and run well, as does my Bachmann 0-6-0 PT. It runs beautifully at slow speed ans accelerates consistently between notches 1-6 then as I change to notch 7 it takes a little leap in speed which is out of sync with the previous steps, it then carries on accelerating consistently. My question? Is ther anything I can do CV wise to erradicate this?
RMweb Gold RFS Posted November 26, 2010 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 26, 2010 What decoder is it fitted with?
RMweb Premium 7013 Posted November 26, 2010 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted November 26, 2010 Hornby R8249, I should also say that when I ran the loco previously with an Elite it did not display any of these anomalies, it has only started since I changed to Lenz! Other locos with the R8249 run fine with Lenz.
Nigelcliffe
Were you using 28 or 128 steps on the Elite controller, and what are you using on the Lenz ? The setting between 28 and 128 is made on the controller ONLY. ( The decoder has a CV setting for 14 or 28/128 step mode, but I doubt that is relevant). - Nigel
RMweb Premium 7013 Posted November 27, 2010 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted November 27, 2010 I was using 128 on the Elite, I must confess I have not looked at the setting I have on the lenz because I wrongly assumed the speed steps would be retained by the decoder, I will have a play around and look at what is set on the Lenz controller.
