Chivers Finelines Posted November 30, 2010 Share Posted November 30, 2010 Here at FIVE79 we are very pleased to announce we are in the early stages of producing a batch of the LNER Extra Long CCT etched brass kit in 7mm scale. The LNER built 60 of these 37 ft. 6 in. long vans in 1939 and BR followed with a further 57 in 1950. This kit is a scaled up version of the Roger Chivers original 4mm scale kit. The kit comprises of the unique Roger Chivers fold up body, tab and slot, and compensated chassis. Added detail of cast white metal springs, axle boxes, vac cylinder, buffers etc. Included in the kit will be, Handrail wire, bearings and a vacuum formed roof. To complete the builder will need, Wheels, couplings, paint and decals. We are aiming for a batch of around 25 to be ready for early next year. Orders will have to be secured with a £20 deposit. (Deposits non-refundable if order is cancelled) Price £68 + P&P. We should have some images on this coming weekend of the assembled body. Deposits to be taken in due course.
