40066 Pictures (Fuel Tank Area) or anything

Hi there, not sure if anyone can but Im building 40066 in a 7mm model, just wanted to ask if any of you guys have got any good shots of the fuel tank area of this loco especially the extra pipe work and drain / overflow pipe down the side of the fuel tanks

The additional pipe work you are inquiring about is a modification carried out on all Scr 40s, it links all the bed plate drains together to common drain point on "A" and "B" sides of the locos. Any decent photo of any 64B engine will give you the layout of this pipe work.

 

The pipes come have a drop them that come down to a TEE piece then a vertical pipe ( about 9") down to a valve, and from that a further pipe drops down a usually ended level with the bottom of the boiler water tank,

 

The pipe work also varied in colour from blue to a bluey green.

 

D269/40069 had a similar mod but the bottom of the body was cut away and a solid pipe was fitted.
