That sticky black stuff Hornby use to hold motors in place

Seem to have successfully remotorised my Hornby (ex Triang) Rocket by the simple method of gluing the original plastic motor mount on the front of the replacement and carefully gluing the original worm onto the motor shaft. Only problem is the motor needs tying down at its back end and the black sticky stuff Hornby themselves currently use (a super strong blu tack) seems to be a potential solution. Wondered if anyone knew just what is it and where do you get it from.

Don't know for definite, but it's very similar to butyl pond liner repair tape. You can get it from most pond or aquatic centres.

I hold my High Level motor/gearbox in with a small blob of sanitary sealant.

Thanks for the suggestions - it suddenly hit me, think its the stuff that is sold to hold those plastic bath seals in place (and which have a spare roll of)
