BR Inspection Saloons

Recommended Posts

Im thinking of having a bash, at building a couple of Inspection Saloon cars..

http://www.ultima-models.co.uk/catalogu ... =UME1416K1

After doing a quick google search, I didnt realise how many diffrent liveries these carried icon_eek.gif

Now im unsure on what liveries to go for ? As my layout is based from mid 80's to 2008.

Has anyone ever tried this kit? Or can assist with livery choices?

Cheers

RTC Blue & Red would be one choice, or as your period is quite large some of these since privatisation have gone into retro paint jobs, Maroon, Blood & Custard and Green.others into variations on company colours.

Personally the maroon would probably fit best with the period.

Blue and white in 1983 - bit early for you, but all four angles in my collection from http://gallery6801.fotopic.net/p830683.html

I've built the Britannia Models version of '508 in 4mm....

Its since been disassembled as I wasn't keen on the chunky resin ends and since made an incredibly slow start to scratch build it back up together with new ends.

The thing I found most difficult to find was an accurate record of the seat locations within.
