Goathingham
I understand that the way to remove existing numbers from Bachmann model locos, to renumber them, is to use "T-Cut". Is this product available in the USA? If not is there an acceptable substitute? Thanks in advance for the help. tornado10
t-cut is made from petrol distillates. it just removes the top oxidised paint layer on car surfaces so in theory, any similiar petrol based distillate might work but whatever you use, i'd always test it first on something you don't care about to make sure the effects are what you seek. that said i'm sure there must be an american eqivalent to T-CUT. RMweb Premium PhilJ W Posted January 29, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 29, 2011 The best place to ask would be your local car body shop. T-Cut is also used for removing minor scratches in car paintwork so if you describe what you are looking for they could point you in the right direction. Coombe Barton
Found loads of stuff in the US section of Amazon.com - 3M seem to do similar products. Can't recommend an exact name - just something that would give you a start when you ask round.
