Ian_B
I acquired some Woodland Scenics Rockmolds and the Hydrocal plaster that they're recomended for. The Rock faces produced are very satisfactory - but does anyone have any recomenations on how to decorate them? I was intending to use them for a disused section of a quarry - hadn't decided what kind of stone, just that the end of the quarry being modelled was no longer in use and has the offices and vehicle support facilities, so there will be an amount of vegitation on the rockfaces when finished. Kenton
This short video is a starting point - other than that I'm having the same problem.

Barry Ross
I have been making my own rock molds recently and have been satisfied with the results obtained using Winton oil paints. Yesterday when my kids were visiting we painted some of them. Here is example done by Dave. There is also a picture of an earlier Woodlands Scenic mold painted and set in a scenery module on my blog of you are interested. Ben Alder
This is a link- here- to how I tackled the WS moulds. Similar technique to the demo video, but I let the colours dry first, but there's no right or wrong in scenic work- just what works for you.
