RMweb Gold griffgriff Posted March 5, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 5, 2011 Yep, Bronco was no better*. What were they thinking? RMweb Gold Oldddudders Posted March 6, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 6, 2011 Dunno, Ian; but here's a clip of the original (from the pilot episode): Very good! Actually I meant u-bend, but never mind..... My dad never really allowed ITV programmes, so even after we had a set that would receive them, the only ITV we ever saw seemed to be football. Thus Bonanza and a host of other stuff was unseen by me, but Bronco was ok.
shortliner
Dunno, Ian; but here's a clip of the original (from the pilot episode): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQWWRuVb_dM Best, Pete. Good Heavens - looking at that he could have been the original model for the puppet heros in all the Gerry Anderson films! Just look at his head/face as he rides towards the camera! ( Perhaps that is where the expression "Wooden-tops" come s from)
trisonic
You were expecting "Titus Mc Andronicus"? I do like Ty's stick on sideboards, though....... Best, Pete.
RMweb Premium Mallard60022 Posted March 6, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 6, 2011 Is there a clip of it on YouBend? I'm unsure whether youbend had been invented when I was in primary school! The wheel had only just been introduced I seem to remember. P
Shamouti Ben Yafo
Would Izal paper have cured hemorrhoids ?... dilbert What, abrasive and impregnated with an irritant? No chance.
RMweb Gold The Stationmaster Posted March 7, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 7, 2011 What, abrasive and impregnated with an irritant? No chance. So quite complementary then that GWR issue Izal (for public facility use) at one time carried an advert on every sheet for a patent remedy for haemerrhoids. Shamouti Ben Yafo
Complementary? Essential, I would say! Maybe they insisted on using Fletcher Roll for the extra revenue from repeat business for what must have been quite a successful advert.
