grahame
you're just going to have to tell me where you found that Improved Director to photograph for the cover, because ... I WANT IT It's certainly colourful and eye catching. It was built (from a kit I believe), painted/lined and owned by a friend of mine. There's pics of some if his other pre-grouping locos in the magazine. B) G.
PGN
Grahame - thank you. Yes, my copy arrived in the post today; and you weren't kidding when you told me you'd managed to source a good selection of pre-grouping locomotive photos to illustrate the article. Nick's models are all truly mouth-watering ... but the Improved Director (kit-built indeed: the kit was made by GEM but is currently out of production. I don't think it's particularly high up Terry's list for re-tooling and getting back into production, either) even gives Gareth's single wheeler a run for its money and THAT really IS saying something! grahame
Just a quick update to let people know that I'm now sold out (well, just a few left to honour any straggler postal orders) of this issue (N'spirations4) although a few of the regular stockists may have some left. And to say that issue #5 is currently being finished off and will hopefully be out and available at the International N Gauge Show at Leamington (in September) if not earlier. G.
