AMJ
Where there are multiple examples of a class available I can't see why they shouldn't be displayed like the one in Mulhouse (derailled), one in the new Brussels museum in a sand pit, on a plinth (or angled) or even sectioned. The NRM's sectioned MN could also be classed as madness by some but it's a useful educational tool. In Odense (Denmark) the DSB museum has a main line diesel locomotive with the body skin taken off to display the innerds.
RMweb Premium Colin Posted May 11, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 11, 2016 That Polish loco reminds me of Meatloaf's "Bat Out Of Hell" cover, with the Kriegslok replacing the bike........
avonside1563
Here's a 'plinthed' loco in Omaru, New Zealand. Originally a Drewry Ds class it has been converted to this 'sculpture' outside the Steampunk HQ.
AMJ
Anyone who has been to the Middleton will have seen the rack mine's locomotive we have displayed on a track at an angle about 45 degree - ideal way for you to look at it.
