RMweb Gold gwrrob Posted March 20, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 20, 2011 I'm scratchbuilding some boards using Slaters letters for them but I'm finding the boards will be on the large size to fit all the lettering on.I'm using 3mm high for 'KINGSBRIDGE BRANCH' and this makes the board 60mm wide,15ft on prototype which I think is too much. The smallest letters are the 2mm but I'd need these for the [FOR SALCOMBE]letters. Any ideas how do this nicely.I don't want a printed version as I like the relief of the 'cast' letters on GW boards.I'm using some bullhead rail for the posts taken from an idea on this site. http://www.mrol.com.au/Articles/General%20Modelling%20Articles/ModellingStationNameBoards.aspx
David Bigcheeseplant
The slaters letters are too rounded at the edges for any GWR typeface why not use the Scalelink etchedversion that is correct David
