Ed-farms
I have just been looking on Trains on Time's website and noticed they are listing a S&DJR 7F sound chip from Howes, I did not know they were doing one. I have found a video on you tube (see below) it does sound like a 7F to me so does anyone know if it is a generic chip or have we finally got the sound for this magnificent model? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Bzu7ihk_IU
RMweb Gold big jim Posted March 28, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 28, 2011 just got off the phone to bryan, the chip is a semi generic one, hence why its not advertised on the howes site, only sounds recorded off actual classes of locos are listed up there the 7F you hear in the video is actually based on bryan's 9F with the whistles changed to ones recorded off one of the preserved 7Fs etc. he does have plans to do a new 7F for the V4 chip but that will be a completly new item and given his current workload regards changing current files to work on the v4 and having to rewrite all his programs it will be a long long time before it sees the light of day!
