RMweb Gold Revolution Ben Posted April 1, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 1, 2011 Hello all, The N Gauge Society has a number of kits under development; among them are the YKA Osprey conversions. These were converted from YSA Salmon wagons - with the addition of substantial end frames, and smaller frames just off-centre, to enable them to be more easily loaded with finished track panels. The new components have been mastered for the NGS by Bernard Taylor of TPM and in the kits will be supplied as whitemetal castings. The mounting plates for these parts (not yet produced, so not shown on the test model) will be etched and the production kits will be designed to ensure the couplers extend far enough. Each kit will be supplied with a decal sheet. Here is a link to a photo of the real thing: http://www.ltsv.com/images/P0074L.jpg Once the etches are completed, instructions finalised and castings completed the kits should be ready for sale; we are anticipating by early-mid summer. cheers Ben A. RMweb Premium Dave Searle Posted April 1, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 1, 2011 Hi Ben, Glad to see that this kit is making good progress. I have a feeling I'll need a few for Hinksey Yard! Cheers, Dave

Steadfast
Blimey Ben! That's looking stonking. I've been looking forward to these, and the whitemetal bits sounds good, as it'll add weight to an empty wagon. Top stuff! cheers jo
