I am working on a G2 0-8-0 wirh ESU Loksound is there a listing of what CV,s contol what sounds I would like the exhaust sound to be louder and to tone down the whistle.

Presuming it is a V3.5 Loksound CV63 = over all volume.

 

Cv121 = hon/whistle CV122 = bell Cv123 = Auxiliary & motor/chuff sounds.

 

value range on all is 0-64.

 

If it is V4 Loksound, I don't know yet.

JMRI reads it as a 2.5 and the CV,s only go to 121

Eh ? I can't see an ESU LokSound "2.5" in my JMRI copy (v2.11.4), and the CV's go to well over 200.

What version of JMRI are you running ?

 

Decoder identification in JMRI is always approximate, the maker is usually good, but the decoder model is only as good as the use of version numbers by decoder makers. Some makers use numbers which can be understood, others are impossible to interpret.
