Ignoring the taper boiler post WW2 94xx/15xx, then the 57xx and 8750s (57xx with a more modern cab) and the 9700-10 (with the condensing apparatus) were the largest and had a Dean Goods size boiler. Then with the same smaller size boiler came the 54xx (with 5'2" wheels) and the 64xx and 74xx (with 4'7.5" wheels) The 16xx had an even smaller boiler and 4'1.5" wheels. All totally different.
