malcolmcelyn
Newbie question, and I haven't read the whole thread to see if it's been asked/answered, but how do you pronounce Ranelagh? Is it Rain-lash? or Rain-lee? Or summat else?

Birdy
Ranelagh (if the same as Lord Ranelagh and Ranelagh School) is pronounced Ran-er-la (Ran as in did a run / err as in a pause - erm without the m / and la as in 'la a note to follow sew' but more often said as le in French). I always assumed Ranelagh Bridge depot was the same. Edited June 16, 2020 by Birdy
