Simon_R
Gents. I'm currently scratch building a rake (short) of YXA Perch wagons to model a CWR train. I've got a few pics to work with and have got the wagons pretty much together. Now we come to paint. As Pway stock generally seems to look like a rusty dark grey colour can anyone tell me what colour it should actually be? or do I just bottle it and go for from ex works sunshine yellow :-)

'CHARD
I'm quite happy to punt a livery at these our kid, but help me out, as it's way past my era. What year did these wagons appear? This might help: http://www.ltsv.com/w_profile_017.php
Pugsley
Looking at the photos on 'Chard's link, I'd say they started out black with yellow bits.
Guest stuartp
What Pugsley said. If they were built in 1982 ('Chard's link) then I think they fall in the Olive Drab era - BUT - I think I'm correct in stating that they were treated as plant rather than wagons, and therefore painted black and yellow as per tampers, regulators, cranes etc.
