NGS RTR Snowplow

Announced at Warley,the next N gauge society commissioned model from Dapol will be a snowplow.It appears to be a scaled down version of the one produced for Flangeway.Expect it to appear next year,advanced orders will be taken soon in the same way as with the Stove R.

Interesting , i looked at the cad drawings for this at warley and there seems to be some improvements made compared to the flangeway version - namely the addition of rivets on the sides of the chassis , which were missing on the oo version , and the correct number of hinges for the fold up side plates (the flangeway one has to many) but the pointy cab front still looks to be the wrong shape - its concave at the bottom , but it should be perfectly stright where the base meets the sloping deck. This will cause them some problems if they try to do a version with full wasp stripes- on the cabfront and the decking. Who to cantact - Dapol or the NGS ?

Hello 179,

 

Thanks for the pointer on the angle of the blade. I will pass it on to the designer. There should be time to correct this as the model is not due for release until Warley 2010.

 

As you spotted, we have already made some revisions - we've also incoporated extra rivet detail on the dumb buffers, changed the shape of the footstep apertures and added the angled fairings beneath the dumb buffers.
