Il Grifone Posted September 20, 2011 Share Posted September 20, 2011 A nice set of engraved plates (far better than the awful transfers most model GWR engines have to suffer) can be obtained with the smokebox numgerplate (Strange Midland idea - particularly pointless on the Western where they were covered up by reporting numbers). Some 22xx had ROD tenders. 3205 of course was built by BR. There were some differences in lining between GWR and BR, though irrelevant in this case.
