The Maybach (and Paxman) magic didn't disappoint during the last day of the SVR Diesel Gala... apparently, there were other locos running but I didn't really notice them!

During one of the runs in darkness heading north, D821 sounded particularly good with the Maybach soundtrack echeoing in the valley, shortly after which the rear engine gave up the ghost, but just as in BR days, it carried on gamely on one engine.... about as close as you can get to 'the real thing' in 2011. A top day all round.

Thanks Mike, still several more to put through the 'Kodak Time Machine Software ' but will leave them till tomorrow... Roger Geach's latest Western book has just arrived so a proper perusal is in order before going off to work later ;) .
