Steve Williams
As far as I am aware, none of the main suppliers of plastic sheet (Slaters, Plastruct, Evergreen, Wills), appear to stock sheets of modern cladding. The sort that is found on just about any modern industrial premises, both in the UK and US. Having trawled through online catalogues, there is corrugated sheeting and roofing, planking in various widths and, some metal shuttering. However, I can find nothing in the way of modern sheet cladding. The nearest I can find is the ubiquitous Pikestuff which, whilst useful, does not, as far as I am aware, come in large A4 type sheets, is rather thick and is so common on modern layouts that it has almost become a cliche. Is anyone aware of any supplier of which I may not be aware? Steve

Steve Williams
Have you looked at South Eastern Finecast ? They don't appear to have a website. However, I found a couple of stockists and they just seem to do paving and planking. Steve

Steve They have a website here but it is a bit out of date : http://www.sefinecast.co.uk/Building%20Materials/Building%20Materials.htm - there is steel cladding on the pricelist but not listed on the website. Intercity models list the SEF sheets which includes "Profiled Steel Cladding" : http://www.intercitymodels.com/Materials.html - no photos unfortunately. If anyone's used the SEF sheets I'd be interested to see how they look Andy B)

It would make far more sense to run them vertical as buildings are longer than they are taller in the case of warehouses, and cladding invariably runs from top to bottom. It isn't what I would call modern cladding either. Certainly not like the variety of stuff on Industrial Estates in my area. I reckon suppliers are missing a trick here. I have e.mailed Slater's, suggesting that it would be a useful product addition. However, I have not had a response yet. Steve

Steve Williams
Have you looked at builders in scale website. Nothing there that I would call really contemporary, and it all appears to be fairly small sizes. Steve
