andyman7
I was in last week and it's absolutely packed with stuff right now, apparently Jeff (the owner) has moved house and as result a lot of reserve stock has been moved onto display

RMweb Premium Chris116 Posted August 18, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 18, 2013 Shelves are even fuller than usual and the prices are as good as ever. Well worth a visit. It costs me money every time I go there!
sub39h
I certainly appreciate that there are still places like Wheels of Steel. Long may they live! I just don't like exaggerated advertising. For those of us who only come rarely to London and want to plan and spend our time well, it seems rather misleading to use the term "model railway centre" for what is essentially a permanent market stall. Not worry though, worse things have happened to me :-) well then your only choices are Harrods and Hamleys now. there is nothing else in central London - and probably never will be again.
