Ed-farms
Is your tank not DCC ready? I have a few including the one from the first release and that had an 8 pin socket fitted. I fitted mine with a loksound micro and used a 8 pin to 6 pin converter to fit it.
rorz101uk
it did have the scoket, i took it off because there not a lot of room for a normal sound chip! the sound fits just right in the smokebox then run the speeker wires into the footplate

Hi I dont wish to hijack this thread, but can I ask what type of speaker you fitted to your 4MT tank and how you fitted it? I have a Loksound Micro waiting to be installed, but I'm deliberating on the speaker type / location issue! I would also welcome any hints and tips whether there is an easy way to get the body off and back on again without damaging all of the pipework around the cab steps? Any assistance would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks
rorz101uk
What I'm going to do is the same as what I have done to my 3mt, I going to hard wire sound chip, the chip will fit in the smokebox, run the brown wires up to the Backhead and have the speeker on the footplate!!! Just need to have money and time to do it!!!
