RMweb Premium Claude_Dreyfus Posted February 1, 2012 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 1, 2012 The 2012 Eurotrack show will be held at the Fleming Park Leisure Par (SO50 9NL) on 25-26 February. There looks to be a good selection of layouts attending, covering a wide variety of gauges, eras and countries. There are at least a couple I recognise from these illustrious pages, including Banbury http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/50172-banbury-in-n-scale/ and Galatia: http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/50225-more-from-galatia-ks/ Trade also looks to be okay... http://solentmodelra...yexhibition.htm I'll be there flying the flag for Japan - not very European I know(!) - with Yamanouchi Oshika. http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/5716-yamanouchi-oshika/
warbonnetuk
There is a minor mistake on the website as 'Galatia, KS' isn't a ATSF layout but a freelance US shortline located in rural Kansas, set in the near present (2008-10) Dan Spalding

RMweb Premium petethemole Posted February 25, 2012 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 25, 2012 Visited this morning, enjoyed it despite feeling very under the weather. I was particularly impressed with the Oro Grande Railroad with its working steam excavator. I didn't have a camera but here's a YouTube link. RMweb Premium Claude_Dreyfus Posted February 26, 2012 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted February 26, 2012 I attended yesterday; however succumbed to the effects of a rather nasty cold, and had to leave early. Have somewhat left the other members of my club in the lurch on Yamanouchi Oshika sadly... I did a brief tour around the show yesterday, photographing what layouts I could. I was planning more today, but circumstances got in the way, so regrettably there were a few I missed. It was a very good show, with a great deal of variety in terms of layouts; as well as some fairly good trade. Layouts in alphabetical order: Addiston South: Banbury: Buda: Felsen: Frogpool: Galenta: Gouttierre: Moorside: Oberau: Seaview: Sylvester Road: Tenac: Tre Ponti: Yamanouchi Oshika:
warbonnetuk
Putting my feet up after a good run up the M3/M25 and 'Galatia, KS' safely back in the garage. Had a top weekend - layout ran pretty faultlessly, got to meet a couple of fellow RMWebers (DaveB & friend / madgasters + friend). Saw some v nice layouts that have given me ideas for future projects. Congrats to the organising team and thanks for a great weekend Dan Spalding
