Michanglais
Hi, despite the problems I've been reading regarding issues with the Hornby class 31 chassis, I still want to get one of these locos as they are one of my favourites. However (apologies if this topic has already been well-covered, if anyone has a link, that would be great), in photographs the model looks like it's on stilts. Is this my imagination or is the body really too high over the chassis and, if so, is there an easy fix for this? I have to admit, living in France and not having been back to the UK for a couple of years, I've not seen a model in the flesh so it may just be that the photographs I've seen are not very flattering. Any thoughts/info greatly received, Michael
'CHARD
Dunno about stilts, but as you've hinted, many of the ones we've seen have been doing the splits.
oggy1953
It may be the bogies aren't sitting inside the body correctly. They some times need a 'wiggle' to make the body sit down properly. Not investigated properly so sorry to be vague.
