Last year I visited and was more than a little critical in my comments on this show…

Well, as I was in the area again today, I visited again and must acknowledge that all my concerns of last year had been addressed. I found a well-balanced show with a good selection of layouts of a consistent high standard (even Underground Ernie seemed to have more thought put into it than the average Thomas/kids layout!) supported by a good variety of trade.

Overall, good value for money and definitely worth visiting. Well done and thank-you to Peter and the team.

The layouts were a good mix as was the trade and the location A1

Went along today mainly for the DCC seminars and all the speakers were supberb in a difficult situation with all the noise.

Well done all off you

Now really thinking of downloading JMRI and modifying all the speakers in my locomotives and reblowing some of my sound chips

Many thanks guys.

Superb Venue.......I'm afraid to say I have little interest in buses, but I just could be persuaded after going there. Holding exhibitions in places like this, reminds me of going to exhibitions like Model Rail Live at Barrow Hill....but buses instead of trains....Excellent.

I went to two seminars.......by Nigel Cliffe on Decoder Pro 3, and Ian Bishop(Legomanbiffo) with Tony Molyneux on DCC Sound......both were excellent, and I would like to thank them for doing a great job........I learnt so much from them on their subjects. Thanks also to Paul Chetter who was doing some sound demonstrating too.

Well Done LYDCC......great job..!!!

And the free vintage bus transport from Victoria to the venue and back, well done again.!!!

Hi Ray,

"Hope you got permission to publish those photo's of HELM"

You obviously didn't read the exhibitors small print (it was so small it can't be seen) but if I publish a picture of your layout at our exhibition you have to buy me beer for the night!! :-)

Peter

Peter

Obviously you didn't see the sign on HELM that said" no photo's allowed with out permission" this supersedes all others, you my not have understood it,it being written in Cumbrian.

I don't mind buying you beer(all night friday),but wheather Tony will want you staying over Saturday night with 10-12 pint on board might be a different thing!!!!

Ray
