Just to let followers know Holcombe Brook & Tottington will be featured in Railway Modeller in the next copy so this will be a great chance to see the layout, (if we get the stock renumberd and weathers in time :D )

As Chris posted above - Holcombe Brook & Tottington is Railway of the Month in the current issue of Railway Modeller. If you want your appetites whetting for MRX, there's 8 pages of coverage - although remember that 'HB&T' is now under full DCC control using sound and the touchcab control system - both of which will be covered in the seminars at the show. There's also twenty other layouts as well, if grimy North West steam doesn't tickle your fancy!

There is only on street parking near the museum, but you can also park on the Manchester Fort Retail Park which is just around the corner from the Museum, about a 5 minute walk.

The Free Bus Service goes from Manchester Victoria Station, if you come in to Manchester Piccadilly you can get Metrolink from Piccadilly to Victoria and then get the Free Bus Service.

Now back to headless chicken mode! LOL!

Layout up and ready for Keith's trains sat am, nearly done my bit- 'as network provider etc' attached pic suggests the scene this weekend, I will be doing a demo alongside the layout for those interested in things small and with chimneys?

Looks to be a good show well worth the visit, some gems set amidst an interesting environment,.. the gents alone are worthy of a view.. they don't make em like that any more!

A few exhibitors have mentioned a drink afterwards..............The Marble Arch on Rochdale Road is as good for an evenings entertainment as many, decent ale and an excellent original interior.....will no doubt bring back memories to some of the great MMRC 'COOP show' mid-afternoon drinks of yesteryear and stretching my own memory further......... cold dark Friday evenings spent with my granddad, dad and uncle after collecting the 'coal money', I was only a kid and it was a very different clientèle then I can tell you... jerkins, steel boots and bent noses etc...a part of Manchester's history now relegated to the history books unfortunatly, but still a few gems are there to be found.... if you know where to look?........5.05pm in 'the Arch' and mines a pint!

cheers

Mark

What, like PW huts and that? :blind:

Looks like a good show, I hope to get there this afternoon, providing I can get off work on time.
