steve1
Having enjoyed doing the doors I thought I would move to gates for the yard's road access. After a session at the ERFG gang hut on Thursday and another half hour at the home bench I have these: The Alan Gibson etching has helped again. steve

steve1
It pays to keep an eye out when at shows for less than wonderfully built structure kits on trader's stalls. They can often be bashed into something else with a little effort. (I believe it's called modelling ) And those windows are made of microstrip... Very true, I could never bring myself to buying one of those very expensive pre made resin buildings - its just not modeling. Just buying off the shelf pre made buildings makes every layout look the same without any skills needed apart from a bit of cabs and a spot of glue. Guest ShildonShunter
I think resin made buildings at times are nice but its a!ways nice to build your own buildings as it gives a sense of satisfaction and you know its you that built it. Nice find on the building.
cklammer
When opportunities present themselves then they need to be grabbed and used. One's opportunity is another one's abomination. My take is that we are firmly in rule #1 territory here. Nice find and good opportunity is my personal take on this structure. steve1
After a points failure on the Y point on board 2 yesterday. I had to add a blu tac point lock to enable through running. So this morning it's big thanks to Caistor Loco for supplying a replacement fixture and my good friend Jeff (Tappa) for making it fit. Gle drying as I speak! steve
