EddieB Posted April 17, 2012 Share Posted April 17, 2012 Yes, a genuine ex-WD Austerity (WD 75080, built Hudswell Clarke 1737/1943), that passed into NS ownership after the war. It was later sold into industrial service as Laura & Vereeniging LV14 (as shown in the opening "stills"). Good to see it in steam, as this has been a long restoration project, starting (I believe) in 2001. My (so far) only visit to Stoom Stichting Nederland, Rotterdam was in September of that year, when it was totally dismantled. incidentally the tank loco leading the whistle tributes (to the immediate left as 8811 pulls out), is the only example of a DB class 65 2-8-4T in preservation (DR built similar locomotives of which more survive).
