Earl Bathurst
Hi Was woundering normally when i wire up points on my layout i just allow the point blades to carry the current through the track which means i have to be carefull about weathering the points, Now i am wiring them as i should and feeding the points correctly and not hoping that the point blades carry the current. Does this mean i can now weather the points like i would with normal track or do i still use old method and paint around them? Thanks Scott
RMweb Gold beast66606 Posted May 13, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 13, 2012 You can paint the blades but be careful not to jam the mechanism with paint, and make sure the blades still fit correctly into the stock rail, generally this means weathering all but the last few mm.
