RMweb Premium PhilJ W Posted June 23, 2012 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 23, 2012 Exhibited at the Nuremberg toy fair was a new range of 'rigid' modern trucks. They appear to be using the chassis of the recovery vehicle with new bodies. There are three different bodies, a box van, a curtainside van and an animal carrier. RMweb Gold PaulRhB Posted June 23, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 23, 2012 Any links as it's not been on any reports I've seen or can find on a web search, current period rather than older prototypes I assume if they're using that chassis. RMweb Premium PhilJ W Posted June 23, 2012 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted June 23, 2012 Only a photograph in a diecast model collectors magazine. The caption directed readers to an item on the toy fair but it appears to have been edited out as sometimes happens with low volume publications. The photograph was of some hand built prototypes/test castings. Oxford announced these models about a month ago.
dinkyme
See Hattons web site for artis image 76VOL01BL, the first models will most likely be released by ATLAS in current Eddie Stobart range, same as Atkinson artic/trailer & Ergo tipper
RMweb Premium PhilJ W Posted June 24, 2012 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted June 24, 2012 The photograph was on the editorial page of a magazine called 'Diecast Model World'. It showed four models, all with Volvo cabs, the three mentioned and one that appears to be another van but because of being a frontal view is difficult to see. Also in the foreground is a pair of Atkinson 8 wheelers with the 1950's coachbuilt cab, with dropside and flatbed bodies.

birdseyecircus
Here is a full list of the Atlas Ltd Edition Eddie Stobart trucks the first few of which have been released. Not sure if they are all 1/76th or all made by Oxford. ( note Ford Cargo). Some of the descriptions are a bit vague too.
