railway in the snow

Recommended Posts

Hi Terry, it was a Class 66 (66 610), if only it were a 47......

Yellowman - I was sat there even longer yesterday morning. Usually we only sit there for a few minutes, waiting for the down Newcastle to pass, then as soon as he's clear of Wolvercote Jcn we follow him. Yesterday however I was expecting him to come by and nothing happened for a while, so I rang Oxford panel and was told that there'd been a fatality at Yarnton Lane Crossing, apparently a liner on the up road was involved and he was still sat there when I eventually set sail north.

It's a fantastic bit of railway to drive on anyway, made all the more enjoyable by the covering of snow everywhere.
