ian carville
Hi went to London yesterday and I noticed that the first class carriage near the buffet had a missing window and a disabled Toilet. I was wondering how I could recrete this on a Hornby mk3. What would I need to use as I don't know where to start?
RMweb Gold 96701 Posted July 21, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 21, 2012 I don't know the One Anglia stock, but First Great Western HSTs have a window blanked out, and it looks as though they've replaced the glazing with something opaque and it is now the same colour as the body. What I'm saying is that the window frame is still there, so could you get away with simply covering the window with self adhesive tape and then painting it? 47707 Holyrood
Perhaps use a light layer of filler to get rid of the gaps between glazing and bodyshell and paint over it. Or cut a piece of plasticard to replace the piece of glazing.
