RMweb Gold TravisM Posted August 9, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 9, 2012 Hi gang, does anyone know of a kit for a C69/77 stock. Radley Models do the A60/62 stock but I need C stock to complete. Julian Sprott
jonhall
I thought Radley did C as well? jon
GoingUnderground
Mike Radford does a 4mm kit in his MARC Models range. I don't think it's shown on his web site currently, but he still does it as I bought 3 DMs and 3 Trailers off him earlier this year.
Xerces Fobe2
The Little Bus Company did a C69/C77 kit however made of unstable resin that warped badly and they had very fat sides XF
SRman
I have a four car set of the LBC kits to build, myself. They are currently not available but Tony Asquith (LBC) does rerun items if there is sufficient demand. I also have a much older set of kits from Fleetline Models but I doubt I will get around to doing these as they are far more complex, consisting of brass, plastic and white metal bits and involving some near scratchbuilding techniques. p.s. Those C69 cars of yours look good, XF.
RMweb Gold TravisM Posted August 11, 2012 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted August 11, 2012 Any chance of a link to the LBC models or a contact address etc? Julian Sprott
Xerces Fobe2
Any chance of a link to the LBC models or a contact address etc? Julian Sprott Julian- Please look closely at the second picture and how warped the chassis was. I poured boiling water over both the body and the chassis - they bothwent like putty and I straightened them out..They them spent a few hours in the freezer also he bogies are no good for a working model and need to be replaced. That said my model is a few years old and modeling technology has improved and maybe LBC have upped their game! XF
RMweb Gold TravisM Posted August 12, 2012 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted August 12, 2012 I did notice that and it is a shame that Metromodels and Radley don't do them. Give it time, wait and see. Julian Sprott
