I needed to sort out some personal stuff in Birkenhead on Monday 06 July and so myself and my boss lady travelled up to Birkenhead on Sunday evening, after completion of the work we had agreed - well I suggested and she just grunted - that I could stop at Helsby on the way home and photograph the MANWAG and timber, we arrived early so I managed to grab a hippo or two and some general shots as well. The stone made name has acquired a train ! but the connecting siding has gone The cabin looked as good as ever The buildings A new shelter on the platform used by a few Northern trains - not sure how many people will actually use it, but a nice gesture. This was the Compass railtours short lived office.
