The Greenwich and District Narrow Gauge Railway Society is pleased to announce that it will be holding its annual Expo Narrow Gauge® on Saturday 27th October 2012 at the White Oak Leisure Centre, Hilda May Avenue, Swanley, Kent BR8 7BT.

ExpoNG - as it is more commonly known – is Europe's premier and most popular narrow gauge exhibition, attracting visitors from across the globe. We hope to have around 65 stands in attendance, with around sixteen narrow gauge layouts in all the major scales and gauges, as well as the usual range of narrow gauge traders and manufacturers, a wide range of prototype and modelling societies as well as displays of modelling techniques.

This year we are again bringing together layouts, traders and societies from the across the UK and Europe, continuing the international flavour to our annual exhibition.

This year we are also pleased to be hosting MOMING@ExpoNG – MOdelling MINimum Gauge. This ‘exhibition within an exhibition’ will feature many fine examples of minimum gauge layouts and modelling.

The show will be open to the public from 10.00am to 5.00pm. Admission prices are as follows:

Adults £7.00, 009 Society, 7mm Narrow Gauge Association, GEMME / TDS members, Senior Citizens £6.00.

Accompanied Children (6 - 16) £1.

Crikey its all go here in York getting ready for ExpoNG this Saturday.........

  • Enterprise Van Hire, having previously had a bit of a talking to for being late, turned up at 10am this morning with tomorrows van!
  • TNT have caused mayhem in the street delivering a new supply of dullcote
  • Royal Snail knocked on the door at 07:30 with the new boxes for our South African B &DZ wagons (just hope the wheels show up now)
  • Spraying of three models for display will go to the wire but should be done.

For the show we'll have a few special offers and you will get a better deal for cash. I am still making my mind up what these might be but here are a few tasters: -

  • Clearance Sale of Minitrains HOe sets and stock
  • Last chance for Papercreek textured papers (stocks getting to the point they aren't worth carrying about)
  • Bachmann 0n30 4-4-0's at a special price

We'll be taking most of our stock but to avoid the law of sodde if there is something specific you want best let me know.

We'll also be at the Slim Gauge Circle meeting in Rugby on the Sunday

I'll be leaving Derby at 4.45am and travelling down with Phil Traxson of Port Wynnstay Models and then spending the day helping Paul with EDM (see above) - which reminds me that I have an order for Dullcote for the local club.

See you all Saturday :sungum:

Mike

A couple of last minute changes:

Nigel Lawton is not able to attend as a trader this year

Peter Marshall has unfortunately had to withdraw due to illness so Two Sisters Farm has been replaced with Chris O'Donoghue's Duncton Yard in O16.5
