Fat Controller Posted October 26, 2012 Share Posted October 26, 2012 Given that Chaddesden sidings are just outside the centre of Derby, I presume the stone is being brought there by road from elsewhere; the quarry at Wirkworth, for example, which used to supply quite a few beet refineries in the past. Tim Horn Posted November 13, 2012 Share Posted November 13, 2012 Its sister loco 56303 was on a stock move off the Mid Norfolk Railway metals last night at Wymondham. Trouble with the crossover outside the box at Wymondham meant that the booked path was scrapped, and in the end the only option was to wait for the Trowse stone train to come through Wymondham, freeing up the loop at Trowse so that the 56 could run round the coaching stock and head back right way round through Wymondham.
