cromptonnut
The "proper" way is to use LED mounts like these: http://www.suntekstore.co.uk/goods.php?id=14000294&utm_source=gbuk Personally, I just find drilling a suitable hole (3mm usually) and pushing the LED through until the lip on the bottom is against the inside of the panel surface, orientating it the right way for your wiring, then a drop of superglue does just as well. naugytrax
Like Cromptonnut, except that I use a blob of hot glue. The point being that, unlike incandescent bulbs, a LED will never need to be replaced in the life of your layout. Well, yes, you could miswire your power supplies and blow all the LEDs, but ... silverlink
Hi Bob, Take a look at Rapid Electronics http://www.rapidonline.com/SearchResults.aspx?kw=led+mounts&srb=0&dir=0&pg=2 you will find all sorts of mounts, ones I use are these http://www.rapidonline.com/Electronic-Components/Kingbright-3mm-LED-Panel-Clip-55-0160/?sid=cb3a9e02-7643-428c-99fc-de2780dcd66c I also use these mounting clips for the ends of the leds as it means you can easily change them if they blow as they are just a push fit. http://www.rapidonline.com/Electronic-Components/C-911-2-54mm-LED-Holder-Solderless-55-0167/?sid=cb3a9e02-7643-428c-99fc-de2780dcd66c Hope this helps Ian

Suzie
I normally just use PVA, you can quite easily pop them out if you want to change them without damage. For a more permanent fix you could use epoxy, since they are epoxy potted anyway. For a professional finish use the really nice panel mounting LEDs, just drill a hole, push them through from the front and put the nut on the back :- Panel mount LEDs at Rapid
