winterbournecm
Just doing a bit of old photo scanning and found this shot of 50008 Thunderer & what seems to be 50010 Monarch at Truro after 1986. I hadn't noticed immediately but there seems to be a CDA wagon in the Up sidings behind the platform. Does anyone recall this being here? I am surprised that a clay wagon made it down to Truro. Perhaps there was a points failure at Burngullow or something? Many thanks CM
Xerces Fobe2
Might have been for the calcified seaweed working, before HEA's were used. XF
treggyman
Hi When you say after '86' what date have do you mean...... The CDA's weren't in traffic 'till late'87 so it might have been the prototype.....Maybe stored prior to or after use??????? As seen in current state at StBlazey Await
winterbournecm
Someone has dated the double header as Dec 1987 - hopefully that will narrow things down a bit. Cheers

Glorious NSE
Someone has dated the double header as Dec 1987 - hopefully that will narrow things down a bit. I have CDA introduction marked down as Feb 1988 - if so then it seems logical it's a new CDA which has been delivered and parked in a handy siding out of the way until the changeover... winterbournecm
Thanks - the story is taken up on the CRS website - a photo has appeared of two sidings worth of the wagons pre-introduction. Nice result that!
