LULFAN
Hi all Does anyone here know how to remove the warning sign transfers on the EFE ELL set? The ones that say about the platform height that are above each door window This is not the set sold by the LT museum it it the standard set seen here http://modelbuszone.co.uk/efe/tube/800to0304.html I am most grateful for any ideas Apart from them the ELL set looks just like I remember 38 stock in the 60's & 70's
GoingUnderground
There have been many versoins of the '38 Stock Baklerloo - Red Roof Northern - Light Grey Roof Piccadilly - Dark Grey/Black Roof East London Line - As Piccadilly East London Line Special edition Metropolitan/LT Museum Heritage Train I think that only the ELL ones had tthe platform height warning. I was recently told that EFE print all the details and don't use transfers. So it might be the T Cut method as used to renumber RTR stock.
stewartingram
I've removed lettering on EFE buses with nail varnish remover, though I haven't tried it on the windows. Stewart

Stewart DON'T use nail varnish remover on the '38 stock. The bodies are plastic and will melt! Use the T-cut method, even on glazing, any scratches can be treated with Johnsons Klear. neilwhite
I have used methylated spirit to remove transfers on EFE stock without problems
RMweb Gold TravisM Posted November 23, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 23, 2012 EFE use the Tampo printing method of decalling their models. A tiny amount of T-cut and a cocktail stick, very gently rubbing then wipe with a damp cloth. Julian Sprott
