1952 - 54 - East Coast Main Line - Flooding

Scene....

I was travelling back from Scotland to London in the early 50's as a child and we were delayed due to serious floods, lines washed out etc on the East Coast Mainline.

Question..

I know I've seen photos of A4's (double headed) on that journey, I was on that train, but I can't seem to track down a date or the photo's now. (It arrived at Kings Cross about 6 -7 hours late).

Any guidance would be welcome - I'm writing a brief history of my youth for my children, there's a lot of grey areas and timelines that are mismatched.

This was me going up to Scotland earlier, me looking out the window (under blue arrow).

The windows would have been raised quickly before we entered the tunnel.
