Having had a box from John @ Greenscenes, a year ago @ the Newark Show, think I will get them out later..........................

So mate, are you tempted by any of the Judith Edge kits yet? Of course, it would mean adding a rail served industry as they are all industrial locos but that shouldn't be a problem with your ever expanding railway :)

Mine will be going EM for the next project

Nice work Terry.  Love the signal gantry, fancy a go myself now.  Is it all scratch built or has some sort of kit been adapted?

All the other projects look great too.  Good to see you getting really involved with the layout again :)

The gantry is an adapted traintronics kit. Im really loving the hobby at the minute mate and i have been up there all day again doing more ballasting etc.

Yeah the trees look very effective after.but this video is fairly old now so the box of seafoam has risen somewhat.

I do fancy one like you have but i need to take a look at what they do first and see what the prices are like. But first i need to finish off the clockwork ideas tamper kit.

So you fancy going EM gauge next then?

Here you go mate: http://www.ukmodelshops.co.uk/judithedge/kit/131

http://motorbogies.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1_24

Not cheap and you obviously need to build the kit, although they are very well made and as long as you are patient and ok at soldering, you'll be fine. Mine was the first etched brass kit I made and although I did make a few errors along the way (which are, of course, reversible with etched brass kits as you can un-solder, clean up and re-solder), I was surprised at how easy it was.

Bacup will remain OO but the next project, The Mill, is an entry for the EM Gauge Society competition to build a full EM gauge layout in 5' x 18". It will use industrial locos only (with a time period covering the 1930's to the early 70's) and quite obviously have a massive, grubby mill on it.

Cheers for the link Jason....The idea for the new layout sounds very interesting mate....Are you building it by yourself and will you be posting the progress onto RMWEB once again?

Thread is already started and Chris (who I am building it with) has already made a load of progress with the baseboard. I have been trying to get the track plan sorted in Templot but the outside single slip is proving to be a ba5tard to get right so far.

In preparation, I have been building a crossover and single slip in OO for Andy (Bodgit) Peter's new layout, Bitton, as it is a long time since I built any track.

Hope this works as I am posting on my phone. Here should be the thread I started when I built the Thomas Hill Vanguard kit

Cheers,

hi terry,

very good work as usual, some really realistic scenes progressing nicely.

could i ask how you make the orange cable tubing to go under the track?

and where did u get the yellow electrical cabinets from?

The orange cable is just tooth pics cut to size and painted orange. I cant remember where the cabinets came from now but i will find out for you.

Looking good Terry! May I ask where you got the little vents over track in the 4th and 5 th photos of the bridge in #927? Thanks, will

I think they are produced by peco. you should be able to get them from most places, i got mine from hattons.

Awesome update fella I love the yellow cabinets are they underground ones.?

Yes they are...i know they dont really fit in but i liked them so much i had to use them lol.
