Backtor
Evening all, Busy day today, the grass has landed on this part of the layout, and got a few trains out to take a few pictures. Its really starting to come together in my mind, and can finally see what its gonna start looking like. Ballasting is gonna be started tomorrow, we've finished a test section of to make sure the mix of the glue was strong enough to hold it! Thank you all for the kind comments, Were getting there slowly! Regards, Cameron
Backtor
Finally got round to posting an update, The layout has been progressing well, and is starting to take shape on the scenery side of things! All the wiring is now finished on the 4 main scenery boards, and all thats left to do is relay the fiddle yards, and build the two new fiddle yards. The Reason for this is we've decided to do away with the Cassettes, as they proved to be somewhat problematic with the Kadee couplings. Ballasting on the first two boards has been finished and looks smart in my opinion. We werent too sure on the colour so decided to weather it, to take the newness edge off it. We've also managed to mine our way through a tunnel at the other end of the layout! and this can be seen without the grass on. (will have to take some now we've finished it) Any comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated, just a quick note the layout is now hopefully set to appear at Fareham & District Model Railway exhibition on October the 5th & 6th! (We're still awaiting confirmation) Regards, Cameron
