The train just left Washington State and entered Oregon. I have ridden on the CTA subway and "L" many times myself. The CTA and Metra has an amazing network of rail lines in Chicagoland. This junction has four perpendicular diamonds that are used by the "L" trains and is one of the busiest railroad junctions in the world. Those cars have been out of regular service for many years. CTA had used these Cincinnati Car Co. 4000 Series cars for their 70th anniversary in 2017. They had refurbished these historic passenger cars. Both pictures have the Wasatch Mountains in the background. I will be in the Salt Lake City area this weekend for the National Model Railroad Association(NMRA) model train show. The model train show will be in suburban Sandy, Utah which is about 10 miles(16 kilometers) south of SLC.
