AberdeenBill
Hi all, Dyce (a few miles northwest of Aberdeen) has seen a couple of interesting workings recently. On Tuesday 24th April, black five 45407 with support coach and class 37 in tow came through Inverness bound at about 7pm (picture below) and today (Sunday 28th April) a DRS 37 with two yellow test coaches came past, also northbound. Does anybody have more information on these workings? (In the picture, note that the ground signal is "off" for an approaching DMU to run into the up platform). Many thanks, Bill
eastwestdivide
Have a look here: http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/O81768/2013/04/28/advanced apparently back through at 1431, 232 minutes early! Looks like a typical NR test train, track monitoring probably. As for the steamer, the Great Britain tour was up that way this week http://www.uksteam.info/tours/t13/t0424a.htm
Ben Alder
The 37's were at Thurso Saturday morning- photographed about midday as they were about to leave. From the remains of the goods yard. No steam engines here though
