Removings "Johnsons Klear" without removing the underlying paint

Has anybody had any experience, good or bad, of trying to remove "Johnsons Klear" from a painted surface? I managed to get some on a Dapol class 22 and didn't notice until after it had set :-(

I was thinking of trying a suitable solvent on a cotton bud.

Many thanks people.

Bob.

Household ammonia should shift it, although you may run into problems if the underlying paint is also acrylic.  I'd check it on a discreet area first to make sure that it won't affect the base finish.

I've found meths removes it after using some to try and alter some pressfix transfers on a Klear coated wagon. Not the result I was expecting!

Obviously, test it first for yourself before trying it on your model.
