Earlswood Nob
Good morning all whilst browsing on ebay this morning I noticed the following: A LNER J6 was described as a J1 A LNER B1 was described as a B17 A Kays J50 body with a Hornby chassis which was described as a Comet Nickel Silver chassis. Another vendor is describing several white metal kits as brass kits. These are not people who advertise the odd loco that has been passed down, these are people who obviously sell kits as a business. Be careful of what you bid for. Earlswood Nob
Sandy Harper
If I see an obvious misrepresentation in the description I ask a pointed question of the vendor that should point out the error. This will then be recorded in the question and answers area that should warn buyers that it may not be what it seems! A simple question like "Can you please confirm the type of Chassis" etc. Sandy
JeffP
One vendor known to me sells "OO" gauge stuff. he regularly advertises an "03shunter" which is actually an 04, and he advertises it in "O" gauge not "OO". When I messaged him to tell him, his reply was, "I know". I think it's up to the vendor whether he displays the questions he receives.
Horsetan
I think you've got some way to go to beat the notorious Gostude, who has been known to describe RTR items as "kit-built".....
